During July 2025, Kabaros modernized the dhis2/maps-app repository by upgrading its development stack to Vite and React 18, replacing legacy Webpack configurations. This transition involved migrating source files to JSX, updating testing setups, and introducing a new development script for the ee_worker component. By leveraging JavaScript, React, and CI/CD practices, Kabaros established a streamlined foundation that enables faster build times and smoother integration of future features. The work focused on aligning the project with contemporary tooling standards, reducing technical debt, and improving the overall developer experience. No bugs were addressed, as the primary focus was on foundational improvements.
