During May 2025, Kafai focused on backend feature development for the sequinstream/sequin and supabase/pg_graphql repositories. He enhanced authentication flows in Elixir and Phoenix by enabling customizable redirects for unauthenticated users, supporting smoother onboarding scenarios. In supabase/pg_graphql, he introduced a per-table max_rows directive, prioritizing table-specific limits over global defaults and loading these from the SQL context. This work included comprehensive tests across tables and nested views, as well as a builder refactor to ensure directive priority and maintainability. Kafai’s contributions emphasized reliability, test coverage, and clear business value, demonstrating depth in API development, authentication, and database management.
