Kaito contributed to the yusei53/refty repository by building features that improved both user experience and code maintainability. Over three months, Kaito developed a unified responsive system using React, TypeScript, and Material-UI, consolidating device and PWA detection into a single hook to ensure consistent UI behavior. He enhanced the reflection content workflow by implementing localStorage-based auto-save, draft management, and date-based filtering, coordinating frontend and backend changes with JavaScript and Prisma. Kaito’s work focused on reducing UI duplication, streamlining drafting, and improving data discoverability, demonstrating depth in both frontend and backend engineering while prioritizing maintainability and user productivity.

Implemented a unified responsive system by introducing a new useResponsive hook that detects mobile devices and PWA standalone mode, consolidating all responsive logic into a single declarative API across the yusei53/refty repo. Replaced the legacy useIsMobile, expanded typing from ResponsiveState to UseResponsive, and completed a multi-commit refactor to stabilize the feature. This work reduces UI duplication, enhances cross-device consistency, and improves PWA readiness for end users.
