Worked on stabilizing the image embedding data path in the Step3-VL model within the jeejeelee/vllm repository, focusing on improving the reliability of image feature processing. Addressed a bug in the image_embeds input path by correcting the data structure used for image embeddings, which reduced runtime errors and improved model robustness in production environments. Developed and integrated unit tests to validate both the construction and processing of image embedding inputs, ensuring the pipeline’s stability. Utilized Python, PyTorch, and deep learning techniques throughout the process, demonstrating a methodical approach to enhancing the model’s data handling and overall reliability.
