During a focused maintenance sprint, contributed to the Signal-Android repository by addressing two critical bugs that enhanced user experience and reliability. The work centered on Android development using Kotlin and Java, with a particular emphasis on UI development and mobile reliability. One fix resolved right-to-left (RTL) phone number rendering issues in app settings, eliminating visual glitches for RTL users. Another improvement ensured that web links opened reliably from non-Activity contexts by correctly applying the FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK flag. These targeted changes reduced support friction and improved daily usability, reflecting a methodical approach to maintaining and refining complex mobile applications in production environments.
