Worked on the openreplay/openreplay repository with a focus on improving localization for Chinese-speaking users. Addressed a translation issue in the LanguageSwitcher component by updating the Chinese language label from '中國人' to '简体中文', ensuring the interface accurately reflected Simplified Chinese. This change was implemented using TypeScript and involved aligning the zh.json translation file to match Simplified Chinese standards. The update enhanced clarity in the user interface, reducing potential confusion and support requests related to language selection. Demonstrated attention to detail in frontend development and localization, prioritizing user experience and internationalization goals during the month’s engineering efforts.
