During December 2025, Dudekulak focused on enhancing Kubernetes liveness probe reliability in the kubernetes/kubernetes repository. He developed comprehensive end-to-end stress tests using Go, targeting HTTP, TCP, and gRPC probes to validate behavior under heavy load with 50 containers running concurrently. By refactoring test infrastructure and standardizing probe configuration, he improved maintainability and enabled faster iteration for future enhancements. He replaced ad-hoc waits with deterministic assertions using Gomega, reducing test flakiness and increasing confidence in liveness behavior. This work addressed a previously skipped unit test and mitigated production risk by ensuring more robust detection of liveness misconfigurations in container orchestration environments.
