During March 2026, Kasugano developed and contributed the Lostar theme entry to the hexojs/site repository, focusing on enhancing theme customization and rendering for Hexo users. The work centered on front end development and theme development, utilizing YAML for configuration and integration. Lostar introduced responsive design, customizable widgets, integrated site search, KaTeX rendering for mathematical content, and syntax highlighting through Highlight.js. This addition addressed the need for a more flexible and user-friendly theme, simplifying adoption and improving the overall user experience. Kasugano’s contribution established a solid foundation for future enhancements and widget extensions within the Hexo theme ecosystem.
