During November 2024, Karan Bhargava developed the Client Subscription Management feature for the EnergyMashupLab/eml-cts repository, establishing a foundation for client-level subscriptions and future monetization. He designed and implemented new RESTful API endpoints and request/response types in Java, refactoring existing controllers to improve maintainability and extensibility. By introducing client-specific subscription data classes, Karan enabled granular management of subscription data, supporting onboarding efficiency and scalable contract changes. His work focused on backend development and API design, emphasizing clear data modeling and versioned contracts. Although no major bugs were addressed, the depth of engineering laid groundwork for robust, client-focused subscription control.
