During November 2025, K. Deniz contributed to the googleapis/google-auth-library-python repository by developing OAuth 2.0 token revocation support for the STS client. Deniz implemented a revoke_token function and exposed a public revoke method on ExternalAccountAuthorizedUser credentials, enabling client applications to revoke refresh tokens without direct interaction with the STS client. The work adhered to RFC 7009 standards, handling empty HTTP responses and error cases such as missing revocation endpoints. Using Python, Deniz focused on robust API development, error handling, and comprehensive unit testing, resulting in a security-focused feature that improves token lifecycle management and aligns with industry best practices.
