Developed an automated visual regression baseline management system for the ScottLogic/blog repository, focusing on streamlining UI test maintenance. Leveraging GitHub Actions and Playwright, the solution introduced a workflow that generates and updates baseline screenshots across both Windows and Linux environments with a single trigger. This approach reduced manual intervention, minimized baseline drift from data or library changes, and improved the reliability of regression testing. The integration enhanced CI/CD processes by enabling faster feedback and more stable test results. Work was implemented using YAML and Markdown, emphasizing automation, cross-platform compatibility, and maintainable version-controlled visual artifacts within the development workflow.
