Keri Harris focused on enhancing the reliability of version reporting in the apache/pinot repository by addressing a critical bug in the Pinot JDBC driver. Using Java and unit testing, Keri corrected the parsing logic for the driver version string to ensure accurate retrieval of major and minor version numbers. This work included expanding test coverage to verify the correctness of version metadata handling, thereby improving downstream compatibility for JDBC consumers. Although no new features were introduced during this period, Keri’s targeted engineering efforts reduced potential version-related issues and contributed to more robust software development practices within the project.
