Kevin Chevallier enhanced the vtex/shoreline repository by developing a stacked components feature focused on improving spacing and documentation. He refactored the sunrise theme’s row and column layouts to use gap-based spacing instead of margins, simplifying the CSS and ensuring consistent visual alignment. Using CSS and TypeScript, Kevin addressed spacing inconsistencies and updated the component’s visuals across different layouts. He also created depth.stories.tsx in Storybook to showcase the stacked stack component with various column configurations, providing both visual examples and clear developer-facing documentation. This work demonstrated a thoughtful approach to component storytelling and front-end development within a short timeframe.
