Worked on the sst/opentui repository to enhance Linux GLIBC compatibility for prebuilt binaries, focusing on expanding support to older enterprise distributions. Addressed a critical bug by pinning native build targets to glibc 2.28, preventing dynamic linking failures on systems lacking GLIBC_2.29, and further lowered the minimum supported glibc version to 2.17 to accommodate CentOS/RHEL 7 and Amazon Linux 2. Utilized Zig for system programming and build system configuration, validating changes across multiple distributions and architectures. This work improved downstream integration reliability and reduced deployment friction for enterprise customers, ensuring robust cross-platform support for both x86_64 and aarch64 environments.
May 2026: Implemented a critical cross-distro GLIBC compatibility improvement for sst/opentui prebuilt binaries, expanding support to older Linux distributions while preserving correct dynamic linking behavior. This work reduces customer friction for enterprise deployments and improves downstream integration reliability.
