Andy developed the Diameter Measurement Tool for the FreeCAD/FreeCAD repository, delivering a feature that enables users to measure the diameter of circular elements within the CAD environment. Using C++ and leveraging expertise in GUI and CAD software development, Andy integrated this tool into FreeCAD’s standard measurement toolkit, linking the implementation to issue #24853 for traceability. The work focused on improving modeling accuracy and workflow efficiency for diametric features, providing reusable measurement functionality that supports future enhancements. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the contribution demonstrated depth in end-to-end feature delivery and a clear understanding of CAD measurement requirements.
