Worked on the TEAMSchools/teamster repository to enhance data governance by removing pension-related information from staff roster extracts. Addressed privacy and compliance requirements by reverting previous changes that had integrated pension data, specifically eliminating the nj_pension_plan_name column and the associated join to the pension and benefits enrollments table. Utilized SQL development and data engineering skills to implement a rollback-safe solution that preserved existing roster extraction functionality while minimizing data exposure. The work was delivered through a clear, traceable commit, ensuring that the system maintained operational stability and compliance with data minimization standards without introducing new features or disrupting core processes.
