Worked on expanding terminal compatibility in the aws/amazon-q-developer-cli-autocomplete repository by delivering support for the Windsurf-next terminal variant. This involved implementing a new VSCodeVariant and integrating it into the Terminal enum and associated methods, enabling the system to recognize and handle the windsurf-next variant throughout the autocomplete workflow. The work focused on configuration management and was developed using Rust, ensuring that users of the windsurf-next terminal experience improved and stable autocomplete functionality. The contribution addressed compatibility gaps and enhanced the user experience for a specific terminal environment, reflecting a targeted and technically focused engineering effort within the project.
