Worked on the facebook/igl repository to deliver an Image Loading Error Handling Enhancement, focusing on improving the resilience and flexibility of image loading workflows. The approach involved making the loadImageDataFromFile method virtual in C++, enabling derived classes to implement customized error handling for missing images and load failures. This change enhanced error propagation and logging, which supports faster debugging and more reliable production behavior by reducing user-facing error states. The work demonstrated strong object-oriented programming skills, particularly in the use of virtual methods and inheritance, and was delivered through collaborative code reviews and pull requests over the course of one month.
