During November 2024, Kila developed a comprehensive Chess Portal for the JinOptimist/Net18Online repository, enabling users to create and view chess parties, manage games, track player ratings, and access news. The portal was architected using ASP.NET Core and ASP.NET MVC, with a full stack of controllers, models, and views to support robust backend and frontend functionality. Kila implemented a fake repository and dependency injection wiring, allowing for efficient development and testing without reliance on a live database. This approach established a scalable, testable foundation for future enhancements, focusing on maintainability and user engagement around chess events and rankings.
