Worked on the librenms/librenms repository to enhance device detection for Arista EOS hardware, specifically enabling accurate identification of Arista 7130-48G3S devices. This was achieved by updating the arista-mos.yaml configuration to include a new sysObjectID, improving the platform’s auto-discovery and inventory accuracy. The work focused on YAML-based device mapping and SNMP OID handling, ensuring more reliable monitoring coverage and reducing the need for manual triage. Leveraged Git for collaboration within a large open-source codebase, demonstrating skills in device management and network monitoring while contributing a targeted feature that strengthened SNMP-based detection mapping for Arista EOS deployments.
