For checkly/checkly-cli, unified Canary publishing into the main release workflow with GitHub Actions and Node.js, leveraging OIDC-based trusted publishing to streamline security and maintenance. These efforts improved developer feedback, reduced debugging time, and enhanced the reliability of plugin-enabled and release automation workflows.
June 2026: Implemented unified Canary publishing within the main release workflow for checkly/checkly-cli, moving away from a separate canary workflow and leveraging OIDC-based trusted publishing. This change collapses canary into release.yml, enabling manual triggering via workflow_dispatch and ensuring canary artifacts are published with provenance under a single trusted publisher. Removed legacy release-canary.yml and refined CI run labeling to distinguish Canary builds from Releases in the Actions UI.
