Worked on robust Home Manager integration and improved global package interoperability across the catppuccin/nix and chaotic-cx/nyx repositories. Delivered targeted Nix module enhancements, including a refactor of zsh-syntax-highlighting to use Nix options and the ? operator, clarifying initialization logic and reducing errors during setup. Introduced the nyx-home-check.nix module to coordinate Home Manager with global Nix packages, conditionally enabling overlays to prevent warnings and streamline configuration. Focused on modular design, maintainability, and testability, these changes improved reliability and user experience for users managing system configuration with Nix, NixOS, and Home Manager, while simplifying overlay management and integration scenarios.
