During January 2026, Kkywalk2 focused on stabilizing HQL generation in the hibernate/hibernate-orm repository, addressing a critical runtime issue in the trim function. By correcting the argument index used in HQL string generation, Kkywalk2 resolved an IndexOutOfBoundsException that previously affected query reliability. The solution included implementing a targeted regression test to ensure the trim function operates correctly with three arguments, validating both functionality and output. This work leveraged Java, Hibernate, and unit testing to enhance code robustness. While the period did not include new feature development, the depth of the bug fix and test coverage contributed to improved stability for HQL-based queries.
