Worked on strengthening the Xcode backend within the videolan/meson repository, focusing on improving build reliability and correctness for Apple platforms. Addressed a range of backend issues by refining dependency handling, enhancing path processing, and ensuring proper source deduplication. Paid particular attention to quoting in HEADER_SEARCH_PATHS and corrected edge-case path joins, as well as adjusted the ordering of compiler arguments to prevent build inconsistencies. Utilized Python and leveraged expertise in backend development, build systems, and Xcode integration to deliver targeted bug fixes. The work contributed to a more robust and maintainable build process, emphasizing correctness in complex build environments.
