Developed Punjabi language support for Home Assistant within the OHF-Voice/intents repository, enabling users to interact with timers, climate control, and media playback features in Punjabi. The work involved designing and implementing new NLP intents and responses, as well as authoring YAML configurations to support these localized interactions. Focused on expanding accessibility and aligning with internationalization goals, the developer integrated these changes without introducing new bugs. This contribution demonstrated proficiency in YAML, localization, and home automation, directly supporting broader user adoption in Punjabi-speaking regions and enhancing the platform’s multilingual capabilities through careful component integration and configuration management.
