Worked on the docling-project/docling-eval repository to deliver a reading order visualization feature that clusters bounding boxes with layout coloring, enhancing user comprehension of document structure. Used Python and TOML to implement the ReadingOrderVisualizer, which iterates over document items, constructs cluster objects, and renders them for clearer visual feedback. Stabilized dependency management by reverting lockfile changes and updating version constraints, improving build reliability and reducing drift. Addressed documentation usability by fixing broken README links to evaluation outputs, ensuring users can reliably access mAP reports and plots. Focused on computer vision, configuration management, and documentation to support maintainable, user-friendly releases.
February 2025 monthly summary for docling-eval: Focused on documentation reliability and user access to evaluation results. No new features were delivered this month; a single targeted bug fix improved README link integrity to the mAP report and evaluation plot, enhancing usability and reproducibility. The fix was implemented in commit 447633d51adecafa3d7f6a6f5be3a1e0fe398f6c. This work reduces user confusion, lowers support load, and strengthens the documentation value for end users and contributors.
