During July 2025, Horimoto focused on improving the reliability of RPM installations in the percona/percona-server repository by addressing a critical bug affecting download URLs for Percona Server packages. Leveraging expertise in build systems and release engineering, Horimoto updated the source RPM URL for 8.0-compatible sources and corrected the base URL for RHEL6 deployments, ensuring accurate dependency resolution and smoother installation processes. Working primarily with Specfile and spec languages, Horimoto validated URL paths across repository variants and tested cross-version compatibility, ultimately reducing user friction and support overhead while enabling more dependable onboarding and upgrade experiences for Percona Server users.
