During July 2025, Horimoto focused on improving the reliability of RPM installations in the percona/percona-server repository by addressing a critical bug affecting download URLs for Percona Server packages. Leveraging expertise in build systems and RPM packaging, Horimoto updated the source RPM URL for 8.0-compatible releases and corrected the base URL for Percona Server 5.1 on RHEL6, using Specfile and spec languages. This work restored proper download and dependency resolution across multiple platforms, reducing installation failures and support incidents. The changes demonstrated careful cross-version compatibility testing and attention to repository structure, resulting in smoother onboarding and upgrade experiences for users.
