During the month, contributed a shell compatibility enhancement to the coder/registry repository by updating the dotfiles module to support Fish shell users. The solution involved executing commands under Bash to ensure consistent behavior across both Bash and Fish environments, addressing non-POSIX shell compatibility issues and reducing friction for users with diverse shell preferences. The work included comprehensive local testing across Bash, Fish, and Zsh using bun test, with all tests passing, and enforced code formatting and validation. Leveraging skills in DevOps, Shell Scripting, and Testing, the developer released the improvement as version 1.4.1, streamlining multi-shell workflows for end users.
