Andor Kovacs integrated Playwright testing capabilities into the microsoft/DefinitelyTyped-tools repository by updating dependency management configurations. He enabled end-to-end testing by adding '@playwright/test' to the allowedPackageJsonDependencies.txt, allowing the project to adopt Playwright as a supported testing framework. This work focused on configuration and dependency management using text-based configuration files, laying the foundation for automated test execution within the repository’s continuous integration pipeline. Although the contribution was limited to a single feature over one month, it addressed the need for scalable test automation and improved quality assurance, positioning the project for more reliable and efficient development workflows going forward.
