Worked on the Cratis/Chronicle repository to enhance backend reliability by implementing a more resilient shutdown process. Focused on extending the shutdown timeout and introducing graceful shutdown logic using C# and CancellationToken, the changes improved system stability during silo deactivation and reduced the risk of exceptions when unsubscribing from subscriptions. Additionally, performed targeted code cleanup by removing unused imports and redundant CancellationTokenSource instances, streamlining the codebase for easier future maintenance. The work demonstrated skills in backend development, error handling, and refactoring, resulting in a more maintainable and robust system design without altering existing functionality or introducing new features.
