Worked on the anthropics/claude-code-action repository to strengthen backend reliability by addressing permission checks for non-user actors such as bots and GitHub Copilot. Focused on hardening API integration and error handling, the work introduced early validation against an allowed bots list before API calls, reducing crash surfaces and improving permission evaluation. Enhanced the system’s robustness by refining error messaging and providing clearer onboarding guidance for bot actors. Collaborated on targeted fixes in TypeScript, resolving issues in permission and actor evaluation paths. The changes improved stability and governance for automated actors, emphasizing thorough testing and maintainable backend development practices throughout the process.
