Worked on enhancing VPN authentication within the void-linux/void-packages repository by enabling the strongSwan eap-gtc plugin and integrating the xauth-pam plugin to establish a more robust authentication flow for VPN users. Focused on improving security and reducing authentication friction, the implementation aligned with strongSwan documentation and industry best practices for EAP-based VPNs. Validated the end-to-end authentication sequence for clients and updated packaging to support the new flow. Utilized skills in Linux administration, network security, and plugin development, leveraging Shell scripting to ensure a reliable and secure enterprise VPN access experience. No bug fixes were recorded during this period.
