During December 2025, Kruczy focused on improving the reliability of touch interactions in the facebook/react-native repository. He addressed a bug affecting hit testing for views wrapped by legacy module interop, which previously introduced an extra wrapper that interfered with accurate touch detection. By delegating hit testing directly to the underlying component, Kruczy enhanced UI responsiveness and consistency across iOS devices. This work, implemented using Objective-C and leveraging his expertise in React Native and mobile development, strengthened the platform’s core stability. Although no new features were released, the targeted fix established a more robust foundation for future interop enhancements and developer experience.
