Krzysztof worked on the nextcloud/cookbook repository, focusing on improving the accuracy of recipe data extraction by addressing a core issue in the Microdata parser’s handling of the itemscope attribute. Using PHP and leveraging skills in HTML parsing and XPath, Krzysztof refined the parser to correctly identify elements with itemscope and constrained itemprop searches to direct children, which reduced incorrect data matches. This targeted bug fix enhanced the reliability of recipe exports and search indexing, contributing to better downstream data quality. The work demonstrated a deep understanding of structured data extraction and improved the maintainability of the parsing logic.
