Worked on the VictoriaMetrics/helm-charts repository to deliver Pod Lifecycle Hooks support, enhancing deployment resilience and lifecycle management for Kubernetes environments. Introduced a new lifecycle parameter in values.yaml, implemented using Helm and YAML, and integrated this configuration into the deployments for vmauth, vminsert, vmselect, and vmstorage components. This approach enabled controlled pod startup and shutdown behavior, reducing upgrade risks and operational surprises across critical services. The work consolidated configuration management, streamlining operations and aligning with Kubernetes best practices. No bugs were addressed during this period, with the focus placed on delivering this feature to improve deployment safety and reliability.
