During March 2025, contributed to the assistant-ui/assistant-ui repository by implementing dynamic headers support for the EdgeChatAdapter feature. This enhancement allowed API requests to utilize header values supplied asynchronously through promise-based functions, addressing the need for flexible authentication schemes and reducing manual header management. The work involved asynchronous programming in TypeScript, careful API integration, and front-end development to ensure backward compatibility. Comprehensive tests were added to validate the new dynamic header functionality, resulting in smoother integration with services requiring dynamic authentication. No major bugs were fixed during this period, with the primary focus on delivering robust, adaptable API request handling.
