Kundra focused on enhancing release documentation for the cBioPortal/cbioportal repository, specifically updating the News-Genie.md file to include detailed information about the GENIE 17.0-public and 16.0-public releases. Using Markdown and leveraging strong documentation skills, Kundra added comprehensive sample and patient counts to the release notes, aligning the format with public release conventions to improve clarity and transparency. This work aimed to strengthen the quality and searchability of release notes, supporting downstream analytics and reducing user queries. The engineering effort was concentrated on documentation improvements, with no bug fixes or feature development beyond this targeted enhancement during the month.
