Worked on the edge-core/sonic-buildimage repository to enhance the reliability and stability of the VXLAN RMAC path. Addressed a critical bug by implementing a pre-validation check in C to ensure the VXLAN interface exists before performing RMAC operations, thereby preventing null pointer dereference errors during RMAC installation. This approach aligned the RMAC install process with existing EVPN VXLAN L3VNI interface checks, reflecting best practices from related FRR pull requests. The work focused on system and network programming, reducing the risk of RMAC install failures and improving runtime stability for EVPN/VXLAN deployments in edge-core Sonic environments.
