Kushal worked on deployment improvements for the Edusign API within the SUNET/puppet-sunet repository, focusing on enhancing reliability and maintainability. He migrated the API’s load balancers to use static IPs configured via local.yaml, which improved routing predictability and deployment consistency. Using Puppet and infrastructure as code principles, Kushal refactored network configuration to support deterministic load balancing and facilitate future deployments. He also addressed code quality by resolving lint warnings, such as line length issues, to streamline code reviews and reduce maintenance overhead. Throughout the project, he ensured clear commit traceability, supporting auditable and well-documented infrastructure changes.
