Orion focused on expanding KotatsuApp/Kotatsu’s accessibility by implementing Brazilian Portuguese translations across the application’s UI strings. Using XML and leveraging Weblate for translation workflow, Orion established a traceable and maintainable localization process that aligns with internationalization best practices. This work addressed the need for smoother onboarding and improved user experience for Portuguese-speaking users, laying the foundation for future localization updates. Orion’s contributions demonstrated proficiency in localization, mobile app development, and translation, while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure quality and consistency. The depth of the work is reflected in the end-to-end integration and readiness for ongoing multilingual support within the repository.
