Over a two-month period, contributed backend development and algorithm enhancements to the LDMX-Software/ldmx-sw repository, focusing on clustering and tracking workflows. Developed an amplitude-weighted centroid clustering feature in C++, introducing a configurable weighting factor to improve centroid accuracy under varying signal strengths and enhance data processing reliability. Later, implemented a Look-Up Table (LUT) based tracking workflow for Trigger Scintillators, delivering end-to-end tooling and integration for reproducible, data-driven trigger tracking. This work included Python-based analysis tools, configuration scripts, and build improvements using CMake, resulting in more flexible clustering algorithms and streamlined LUT generation and usage within the production tracking pipeline.
July 2026 monthly summary for LDMX software development. Delivered a robust LUT-based tracking workflow for Trigger Scintillators within the LDMX software stack, enabling reproducible, data-driven trigger tracking and faster experimentation cycles. The work encompassed end-to-end tooling, integration, and configuration that streamline LUT creation and usage in production tracking pipelines. While focused on the LUT path, accompanying code quality and build improvements were completed to ensure maintainability and reliability.
