Developed and integrated a DeepSeek provider for the LearningCircuit/local-deep-research repository, focusing on enabling secure and scalable LLM capabilities within a backend Python environment. The work centered on API integration, introducing authentication and configuration support to streamline onboarding for additional providers. Implementation included centralizing API key management through a dedicated JSON configuration file and aligning provider behavior with existing cloud solutions by refining authentication requirements and automating registration flows. Addressed code review feedback by resolving import issues and standardizing endpoint usage, resulting in a more reliable, maintainable integration that reduces manual setup and supports robust LLM-driven research workflows.
