Worked on enhancing the HarperDB/documentation repository by improving technical documentation related to sharding, replication, and external data source polling. Focused on clarifying the correct usage of the 'shard' attribute and providing detailed guidance for configuring replication.shard, including both static sharding and programmatic traffic routing. Added comprehensive examples demonstrating interval-based polling for subscriptions, supporting active data sources and caching strategies. All updates were implemented using JavaScript and Markdown, with an emphasis on clear API integration patterns. The work aimed to streamline developer onboarding, reduce ambiguity in deployment configurations, and ensure maintainable, traceable documentation for future development and support.
