Lakshmi Teja developed a Custom Properties Display feature for the shipsy/plane repository, enhancing the issue detail sidebar to render user-defined key-value properties. Using React and TypeScript, Lakshmi designed a new frontend component that dynamically displays custom metadata, improving the visibility and context of issues for users. The implementation included robust handling of array-based data structures to ensure resilience when custom properties are present, addressing a specific array error encountered during development. This work deepened the issue triage process by surfacing richer contextual information, demonstrating proficiency in frontend development and thoughtful UI design within a focused, single-feature engineering effort.
