During May 2025, contributed to the empathyco/x repository by enhancing the BaseTeleport component with robust target element detection and improved host lifecycle management. Leveraging JavaScript and TypeScript, implemented a MutationObserver-based observable to monitor DOM state and used isConnected for reliable host attachment and detachment, ensuring explicit cleanup on component unmount. Additionally, addressed dependency management in empathyco/x-archetype by upgrading the Vite development dependency to improve build stability and developer velocity. This work demonstrated skills in component development, DOM manipulation, and observables, resulting in greater UI reliability in production features and a more efficient, stable development environment for the team.
