June 2026: delta-rs delivered DataFusion 54 upgrade across the workspace with tests and Python integration updated; completed API modernization by removing as_any from core traits, adding Session and ContextProvider higher-order functions, and integrating new field/registry changes. Parallel work modernized partition/statistics handling and builder usage to align with DataFusion 54.x. In addition, stability and ABI hardening were achieved by fixing DataFusion 54 stream re-execution, updating the FFI provider ABI, and enforcing version guards to prevent segfaults when Python integration wheels are not yet available. These changes reduce upgrade friction, improve runtime reliability for analytics workloads, and demonstrate strong cross-language collaboration, Rust/FFI proficiency, and robust test strategy.

May 2026: Delivered comprehensive PGAA backup/restore documentation for version 1.9, including Barman-based backups, 3-node PGD restore workflows, and PITR limitations; added detailed guidance on max_worker_processes, logical replication slots, and extension catalog consistency; integrated new Operations navigation and verified key catalog tables across PGD 6.4.0 + PGAA 1.9.1. Published restore gotchas documentation clarifying slot recreation, peer-slot naming, and global DDL coordination.
