In March 2025, Laxhay focused on enhancing the mobile usability of the openfoodfacts/openfoodfacts-explorer repository by delivering responsive UI improvements for the Settings and Folksonomy pages. Using Svelte along with CSS and JavaScript, Laxhay adjusted grid layouts, flex properties, and typography to ensure a consistent user experience across various device sizes. The work targeted front-end development and responsive design, addressing the need for better cross-device accessibility and maintainability. While no bugs were fixed during this period, the feature delivered improved the explorer’s interface for small viewports, aligning with product goals for mobile usability and long-term UI consistency.
