Worked on the open-telemetry/opentelemetry-collector-contrib repository to deliver dynamic metric reaggregation for the Chrony receiver, enabling per-metric attribute aggregation through configuration files. Leveraged Go for backend development, focusing on configuration-driven feature toggling and robust testing practices. Updated metadata and collection guidelines to support the new reaggregation capability, ensuring alignment with project standards. Validated the implementation with comprehensive automated tests, static analysis using Go vet, and repository-wide code generation to maintain documentation consistency. This work improved metric accuracy and reduced manual configuration for Chrony metrics, demonstrating a methodical approach to feature delivery, code quality, and CI-friendly validation within the Go ecosystem.
