Worked on the envoyproxy/gateway repository to deliver a feature enabling deployment annotations to be specified through Helm values, enhancing flexibility for Envoy Gateway deployments across Kubernetes environments. The approach involved extending the existing Helm chart to support deployment-level metadata via values.yaml, allowing teams to automate policy enforcement and reduce manual configuration steps. This integration maintained compatibility with current Helm-based workflows and aligned with governance and observability requirements, introducing minimal risk to existing deployments. The work was implemented using YAML and Helm, with a focus on clean, traceable commits and no reported bugs, reflecting a targeted and well-integrated engineering contribution.
