In April 2025, Luka Budak developed the IVS Deletion Protection feature for the dspace-group/simphera-reference-architecture-aws repository, focusing on enhancing safety for AWS IVS deployments. He introduced a configurable option, enable_deletion_protection, using Terraform and HCL to prevent accidental deletion of IVS instances. Luka updated documentation, variable definitions, and module instantiation to ensure seamless integration of the new feature. This work strengthened governance controls within the reference architecture, reducing operational risk. The depth of the implementation is reflected in the careful exposure of the new variable and comprehensive updates, demonstrating a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure best practices.
